The Little Mouse
Stories should be told huddled close,
side by side, all tucked in together...
because stories unite us,
and they are nourishment for the heart.
The Little Mouse feels beautiful and wants the whole world to see. Yet, her beauty does not grant anyone the right to mistreat her, and our protagonist will fiercely defend her right to choose for herself. Using the medium of a fable—and drawing on the natural empathy children feel for animals—the play explores themes such as equality, the right to say "no," and the importance of learning to accept that "no," alongside a firm rejection of gender-based violence.
Furthermore, while staying true to the traditional plot, we offer a fresh perspective where the Little Mouse no longer carries the guilt for the actions of others.
